This course provides students with a working knowledge of the macroeconomic models and concepts which underlie many of the mathematical and financial tools that are introduced later in the program. The first part of the course develops the basic concepts that form the basis of macroeconomic models. The second part of the course introduces macroeconomic models relevant for interest rate determination, monetary policy, foreign exchange rates, etc. Students will learn how to solve and simulate these models.
