Folks,
Following student feedback, we are debuting Discord as our new platform for interactions between the students and the teaching team (and between the students themselves).
Discord is a bit more "relaxed" than Zoom: It has chat channels, where you can debate questions among yourselves, as well as with us, both synchronously and asynchronously. And it has voice channels, where you can interact live with the teaching team during office hours and lab sessions, without needing to be assigned to a breakout room.
Tom will send out a message later today explaining how/where you can login to the platform and how to use it.
We will use the platform for the upcoming office hours (tomorrow, Tuesday, 12h00-14h00) and lab session (Wednesday, 15h15-17h00). We will also use it *in parallel with Zoom* for the next lecture discussion (Friday, 15h15-17h00).
We hope that this will make our interactions easier and encourage you all to participate in the course as much as you'd like.
