COM-407: Answer format for subnet portion and host portion

Hi,

Let's say I have an IPv4 address: 10.0.0.1/24 . When you ask me the subnet portion and the host portion of this IPv4 address, should I say 10.0.0 and .1, or 10.0.0. and 1, or 10.0.0.0/24 and 1, or something else?

I am mainly concerned that the auto grading system might be too rigid to understand all answers with "correct" semantics.

I am not a TA, but I think simply writing 10.0.0 and 1 should suffice for your example.

Thank you for your question. For this question different versions are taken into consideration, but in the case of your example, semantics 10.0.0 and 1 are accepted semantics in Moodle.
