Dear students,

As you know, our final exam will take place on Thursday, Jan 27, from 9h00 to 11h15. You have already received a separate message about which room each of you should go to and about health provisions (don’t forget your bracelet!). Please be outside your designated room by 8h45, so that you can find your seat on time and without stress.

It will be a closed-book exam, but you can have an aide-memoire with you, consisting of 4 double-sided A4 sheets (8 A4 pages). We recommend that you bring along a calculator and a ruler (there won’t be any complicated computations or pictures to draw, but it will make your life easier).

To minimize health risks, we will handle questions as follows: If you have a question, you will leave your seat and walk to a designated point where one of us will be able to answer your question while keeping the necessary distances. We will show you where that point is at the beginning of the exam.

The exam will consist of 3 problems:
- Problem 1 (multiple choice): 5 points
- Problem 2: 25 points
- Problem 3: 20 points
Total: 50 points

A few things to keep in mind:
- Take a quick look through the entire exam before you start writing, so that you get a sense of each question in advance.
- If a question does not make sense or seems unclear to you, or if you are unsure what assumptions you can make, you can always request a clarification at any point during the exam.
- To avoid interrupting you, when we want to make a comment, we will write it on the board, not announce it orally. So, please check the board periodically for comments.
- If a question seem too hard, leave it for the end, do your best with it, and do not get disappointed. Grading is adjusted to difficulty.

Best of luck,
Your teaching team.
