Dear students,
We will soon be starting the hardware part of the course where yo will be able to assembe the robots that you evolved in robogen.
You will be using the Discovery Learning Lab facilities to work on the hardware.
We have arranged for you to be able to use 3D printers, basic tools and space to store your components.
To facilitate access to the DLL, you will need to complete two mandatory trainings as listed below.
1.) Completion of a moodle quiz "DLL Ideation and small machining":
For that, you need to follow the following steps:
- Go on this page: go.epfl.ch/moodle-training
- Log in with your Gaspar credential (up right)
- Follow the training “General safety training to access the Discovery Learning Labs and professional workshop» (password : DLL2020)
2) Completion of the workflow on Service now:
It is available here: https://go.epfl.ch/practical-projects-training
At the end of the training form, you will need to click on "Micro-515 Evolutionary robotics". If you are part of a MAKE project, you need to click on both.
Once you finish these two courses, Euan will give you authorisation.You will not be able to access the DLL facilities if you do not complete the training.
It takes 24h for the access to be approved.
I therefore strongly suggest that you finish the training as soon as possible.
All students from a group are encouraged to take the training.
You will also receive an intorduction to the robot hardware during the tutorial session this thursday.
