Hi, I used both Chrome and Thunderbird, but I still can't post messages.

How can I solve this problem?

Best regards,

Hello,
I had the same problem as you, I couldn't post on any newsgroup.
You said you tried with thunderbird but with the instructions of usenet_thunderbird.pdf? because I tried and succeeded.

Yes, please check the assignment page and follow the instructions in the newly added PDF file. I've already started seeing messages coming from EPFL students and I was able to make posts myself as well. Let us know if you still have difficulties.

Did you need to enter your password?

To subscribe, we must enter the password.

However, the 2nd pdf never tells us to create a password.

To subscribe, I need to enter a password, so I went to Preferences > Privacy & Security.

And when I try to create a password, it doesn't allow me, so I created a primary password, but

It would be great if you have solutions to solve the problem...

It should not be asking for a password. Can you try posting to misc.test on news.aioe.org? Also, maybe try removing your newsgroup account and subscriptions and see if it works with a new account.
