Hardware

A box with your group number on it is in a locker marked “MICRO-515 evolutionary robotics” in DLLEL -1 54. Please return all hardware to this locker by the 1st June.

We have given you a selection of 3D printed parts and electronics. If you need more 3D printed parts then you can print them using the STL files found here: https://github.com/lis-epfl/robogen/tree/cutting_edge/printing-3D. You will need to attend the training course to use the 3D printer (registration: https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/dRlDJRwa/vote). You could have just one group member attend but only they will be allowed to print new parts. If you find one of the electronics components doesn’t work, contact Shuhang Zhang (shuhang.zhang@epfl.ch) for a replacement.

Many parts (sensors, servos, microcontroller) will need at least some soldering, wiring and crimping. You can do this with the tools at DLL. See the videos on https://www.youtube.com/@robogenproject2729/videos for help wiring and assembling the robot. Also see ”2023 Robogen Intro hardware File.pdf” on Moodle 11th May.

Batteries

You have one fully charged battery in each box. When it needs recharging, put it in the box marked “Dead batteries” in the locker and contact Shuhang Zhang (shuhang.zhang@epfl.ch) with your group number and he will put a fully charged one in your box.
