Bonjour,
I'm wondering about the units we have to use for the Aquasim simulation. As I understood so far from Aquasim, it works with all the components expressed in COD, as, like this, a direkt link between biomass/substrate and oxygen can be made. However, in the exercise we're supposed to use "normal" molar concentration of the components to be able to compare with what we calculated in A.2.2.
How can this work? Are we supposed to transform the yields as follows, e.g. for Ysx?
Y_H [molCOD_X/molCOD_S] = Y_H [molX/molS] * (molCOD_X/molX) * (molS/molCOD_S).
..to take into account the COD content of the substrate and biomass?
Thanks a lot.
