Right now I have small doubt about the notation of the probability of firing: why, in general, p(t|t^) = p(t-t^)? I’m probably missing a very obvious step.

p(t|t^) = p(t-t^) holds true in the assumption that each spike even is independent from the previous one. In this assumption, the probability p(t|t^) only depends on the time difference t-t^.
