Folks,

The midterm will take place on Friday, Nov. 6, 15h15 -- 17h30. It will cover the material of Modules 1 to 6 (introduction, application layer and transport layer). More specifically, it will cover the material covered by the corresponding lectures, homework, and lab sessions. The questions on lab sessions will affect no more than 20% of the grade.

We will make the midterm available on Moodle. You will have two options:

  • Complete the midterm online (by entering your answers directly on Moodle).
  • Print the midterm, write your answers by hand, scan/take pictures of your exam, and upload the outcome to Moodle.

We ask each of you to work on your own, but you are free to consult your lecture/lab notes.

During the exam, we will be available to answer individual student questions, most likely on Zoom (exact format TBD).

To those of you for whom Nov. 6 is a modulo day: It is better to not come to class physically on that day, but take the exam from home or another a quiet place where you can be on your own. That will make it easier to communicate with the teaching team via Zoom if you have questions.

More precise information/instructions are coming up.

If you believe that these arrangements won't work for you, or you have relevant comments, please email Katerina, and we will do our best to figure things out.
