HW8 - EX2

Hello,

I struggle when computing probabilities, I obtain complex results, I assume I need to compute the norm however I can't obtain it as we don't know the values of alpha or beta...

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks :)

Hi,
The norm is to be computed just as a function of alpha and beta and other parameters. We do not ask a numerical value. Once you know which is the relevant projection operation(s) the squared norm is || P |psi> ||^2 = = and you can use one of these three forms to compute it (which one is easier to use may depend on the problem).
Hope this helps. We are available this thursday also for the hmw.
