In lecture BGP Page 5:
AS C is multi-homed, B and D are transit.
Are AS B and D also multi-homed? If not, what is the difference between multi-homed and transit?

Thank you for your question.
A multi-homed Autonomous System is in fact a stub AS, meaning that based on policy, it will not route data from one AS to another; thus, any traffic between the multi-homed AS and outside either originates or terminates at the AS. The fact that it is called "multi-homed" is because has one or more prefixes that are connected to more than one service provider (more than one AS).
