I am a bit confused about the variables for 8.6.1 - the instructions say to create an LxP matrix, L is the number of patterns according to the article, but P is not defined by the article and is previously defined in the exercise also as the number of patterns. I would think P should be the number of neurons in order to define the patterns with the matrix, but then if that were the case I would have thought it would say to create an LxN not LxP matrix. Could you please clarify what the P dimension is?
